Our client is a renowned global retailer of handcrafted luxury home décor and artistic wall art with a presence across major markets, including the United States, Europe, and Asia. Their offerings feature a diverse range of high-end framed artworks, decorative mirrors, rugs, and bespoke interior accents favored by homeowners, interior designers, and corporate clients.
Project Requirements
Despite their widespread presence, the client was struggling with poor visibility and conversions on Amazon, so they approached us to enhance their product listings through premium A+ content creation. The client had multiple poorly managed Amazon stores, each representing separate brands with extensive and varied inventories. Most product listings lacked essential details, there was no unified branding, and gaining a holistic view of inventories or performance was extremely difficult due to fragmented storefront data.
Many listings (especially for newer brands) had poor visibility, minimal sales, or nearly zero daily/weekly clicks. Some products were failing to gain traction on Amazon but sold well via the web store, highlighting a disconnect in platform-specific content and strategy.
The client had a large number of suppressed Amazon listings, with no existing process in place for root cause analysis and suspension appeal submission. Many listings remained offline and missing sales potential as there was no clear escalation or tracking process for recovering these products. We were required to diagnose root causes (missing product attributes, variation linkages, image requirements) and set up a rapid resolution workflow for fixing suppressed listings.
Product descriptions were often written by art procurement experts, resulting in technically accurate but unengaging and non-optimized copy. Titles and descriptions didn’t adhere to Amazon’s prescribed formats, nor were they optimized for relevant keywords, making it challenging for products to rank and appeal to online shoppers.
The client's Amazon stores had previously been managed by multiple marketing agencies and service providers, each implementing their own content and optimization strategies. Frequent handovers and fragmented oversight led to inconsistent listing changes, making it challenging to maintain version control, track performance-impacting decisions, or assign accountability.
Our Solution
A more strategic and non-conventional approach was required for effective Amazon marketplace management.
